Large Drayage Capacity
One of the industry’s best performance records with a focus on quality services and solid operations across 37 terminals, with the capability of handling import and export freight.
What is Drayage?
As the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) defines it, drayage is the “transportation of freight between a cargo facility terminal and a customer’s facility.” In the intermodal process, drayage is usually the process of drivers moving containers and goods over short distances. The start and end points are generally within the same area. This can involve port drayage, ocean drayage, rail drayage, container trucking, import/export trucking, rail trucking and port trucking.
National Drayage Network
With a network of terminals serving every major US rail ramp and port, XPO has contracted a large drayage capacity of more than 2,100 independent trucks and network access to an additional 25,000 drayage trucks. We also have access and service at more than 80 ramps and a drayage presence at every key US port and ramp. We are port drayage TWIC-compliant and are Hazmat certified.
