Chief Executive Officer

Mario Harik

Mario Harik leads one of the largest less-than-truckload (LTL) providers in North America and oversees the company's strategy, including growth investments in customer service excellence, network capacity and proprietary technology that are transforming the company’s operations. Prior to XPO, Mr. Harik was chief information officer and senior vice president of research and development with Oakleaf Waste Management, chief technology officer with Tallan, Inc., and co-founder and chief architect of web and voice applications with G3 Analyst. He holds a master’s degree in engineering, information technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a degree in engineering, computer and communications from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon.

Chief Financial Officer

Carl Anderson

Carl Anderson joined XPO in November 2022 as chief financial officer. In this role, Anderson is responsible for leading XPO's finance organization. Carl Anderson most recently served as chief financial officer of Meritor, Inc., a global supplier of OEM and aftermarket parts for commercial vehicle and industrial markets. His 25-year career in transportation includes earlier positions with Meritor, a Cummins company, including group vice president, finance; treasurer; and director, international capital markets, market risk management and corporate insurance. Earlier, with General Motors Acceptance Corporation, he served as senior manager, structured finance; and senior financial analyst for the financial planning group. Anderson began his career as a senior financial analyst with First Chicago Corporation. He has a master's degree in business administration from Wayne State University, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Michigan State University.

Chief Human Resources Officer

Josephine Berisha

Josephine Berisha leads the company’s human resources organization. She has more than two decades of senior HR experience with global companies, where she was responsible for policy development and oversaw technology initiatives for data collection, analysis and reporting. Ms. Berisha previously served for three years as XPO’s senior vice president, compensation and benefits. Prior to XPO, she held executive positions with Morgan Stanley, including head of compensation for 55,000 employees in 43 countries. She holds a master’s degree in organizational psychology from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from New York University.

Chief Information Officer

Jay Silberkleit

Jay Silberkleit leads XPO’s technology organization. Mr. Silberkleit’s 18-year career as an enterprise systems leader includes senior roles with Fortune 500 companies that have complex, network-based operations. He joined XPO as vice president, enterprise architecture in 2012, shortly after the company was founded, and was instrumental in creating XPO’s technology ecosystem, including its digital brokerage platform. In 2021, he was named senior vice president, technology, with responsibility for the company’s optimization initiatives in less-than-truckload. Prior to XPO, Silberkleit most recently served as principal software engineer with Waste Management, Inc. 

Chief Strategy Officer

Matthew Fassler

Matthew Fassler is responsible for the company's strategy, capital structure and analysis of growth opportunities. Prior to XPO, during 26 years with Goldman Sachs, he covered many of the world’s most prominent brands, including Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, Best Buy and AutoZone. Additionally, he served as a Goldman Sachs managing director and business unit leader for more than 10 years, with responsibility for the broader consumer sector. Mr. Fassler has been recognized 16 times in Institutional Investor’s annual ranking of its All-America Research Team. He holds a degree in history from Yale University.

Chief Investor Relations Officer

Tavio Headley

Tavio Headley is responsible for managing communications between the company, its investors and the financial community. Prior to joining XPO, Mr. Headley was a senior equity research associate with Jefferies LLC, covering the air freight logistics, railroad and trucking sectors. Previously, he was an economist with American Trucking Associations (ATA), where he was involved in the collection, analysis and dissemination of trucking industry data. Mr. Headley holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Maryland at College Park, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Morehouse College.

Chief Accounting Officer

Chris Brown

Chris Brown sets the strategy for XPO's control systems, external financial reporting and risk management. He joined the company in 2017 as vice president, financial reporting and technical accounting, and was responsible for XPO’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as the technical accounting function. Prior to joining XPO, Mr. Brown served as vice president, internal audit of United Rentals, Inc. from 2014-2016, and as vice president, assistant controller of United Rentals, Inc. from 2006-2014. Previously, Mr. Brown held various roles at Xerox Corporation and KPMG LLP. Mr. Brown has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College and is a certified public accountant in New York.

Chief Diversity Officer

LaQuenta Jacobs

LaQuenta Jacobs provides leadership and advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion in the cultural development of XPO’s workplace. She initially joined the company as head of human resources for the last mile logistics business unit. Ms. Jacobs has more than two decades of experience leading organizational development initiatives for global public companies, and has championed inclusivity in senior HR roles with Delta Air Lines, Inc., The Home Depot, Inc., Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. and Georgia-Pacific Corporation, among others. She holds a degree in psychology from Clark Atlanta University.

President East Division

Tim Staroba

Tim Staroba leads operations for the East Division of XPO. He is a veteran in the transportation industry. Mr. Staroba joined XPO in 1996 working in the account management center. From there, he moved into operations as a service center manager and held operations roles of increasing responsibility for more than 20 years. In 2016, Mr. Staroba joined CFI and served as president before joining Navajo Express in 2018, where he held positions as executive vice president and president. In 2020, he rejoined the XPO team as senior vice president of operations and was promoted to president of the East Division in October 2021. Mr. Staroba holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.

President West Division

Tony Graham

Tony Graham leads operations for the West Division of XPO. Mr. Graham joined XPO in 1997 as a service center manager. In 2000, he accepted a role as a national account executive and was promoted to director of sales in 2006. In 2012, he became director of pricing for operations, where he oversaw revenue and profit management, contract review and negotiation and account strategy. In 2015, Mr. Graham was promoted to region vice president and in 2018 he was again promoted to senior vice president revenue management. In 2021, he was promoted to president of the West Division. Mr. Graham studied psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

President, Transport – Europe

Luis Gómez

Luis Gómez leads XPO’s transportation business unit in Europe, with responsibility for truck brokerage, less-than-truckload and other transportation operations. Mr. Gómez joined XPO upon the company’s acquisition of Norbert Dentressangle SA, where he led the growth of the transportation business in Iberia. His more than 20 years of industry experience include earlier executive roles in finance with Christian Salvesen and Transportes Gerposa (now XPO). He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Cantabria in Spain, and has completed executive management programs from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and IMD Business School in Switzerland.

Senior Vice President, Linehaul

Tanmay Mathur

Tanmay Mathur leads XPO’s Linehaul network managing the largest non-fuel spend for the company. His responsibilities include managing network operations, purchased transportation spend, and network optimization. Mr. Mathur also oversees the development of proprietary algorithms that optimizes XPO’s complex linehaul network. Prior to XPO, he has spent nearly 15 years working in supply chain and logistics planning and operations in e-commerce and oil & gas industry. Mr. Mathur holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorke in India.

Senior Vice President, Pricing

David Phalen

David Phalen is responsible for leading technology-enabled pricing strategies for the LTL network. Prior to XPO he had 22 years of executive experience in pricing, revenue and yield management in the airline industry — most recently during seven years with American Airlines, where he served as managing director, international revenue management, and managing director, revenue analysis, ancillary and fulfillment. Previously, Mr. Phalen held senior roles in pricing and revenue management with US Airways for eight years, and with America West Airlines for seven years (both now American Airlines). Earlier, he was with the financial advisory services group of Price Waterhouse, now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Phalen holds an MBA degree from Arizona State University.

Senior Vice President, Sales Operations and Customer Experience

Diana Brown

Diana Brown is responsible for the infrastructure that supports XPO’s sales operations team, including territory management, compensation and analytics. Additionally, Ms. Brown leads the company’s customer experience team in onboarding new accounts and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Her career spans more than two decades of senior experience with customer-centric sales and service organizations, including head of customer success for Amazon Business. Prior to Amazon, she served as senior director, network and financial solutions with SAP and with Ariba. Ms. Brown holds an MBA degree from Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Indiana University.

Senior Vice President, Sales

Anthony Hoereth

Anthony Hoereth is responsible for leading the company’s sales departments to meet revenue and sales targets.  This includes organizing the sales strategy, driving account growth and fostering new customer acquisitions. Mr. Hoereth has 30 years of less-than-truckload experience, 26 with this organization. He has held a number of leadership positions in both sales and operations. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hoereth was responsible for leading operations in the Midwest. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Marian University.

Vice President, National Sales

Marissa Christensen

Marissa Christensen leads XPO’s National and third-party logistics sales channels. Ms. Christensen joined XPO’s sales organization in 2012. In 2014, she was promoted to Director of Sales, leading a number of local sales teams until she was promoted to Director, National Sales, where she led a team of National Account Executives.  In 2020, Marissa was promoted to her current role of Vice President of National Sales and is responsible for XPO’s National and 3PL sales teams that represent over 40% of XPO’s revenue.  Ms. Christensen studied Business Administration at California State University, Fresno.

Executive Chairman

Brad Jacobs

Brad Jacobs has started five companies from scratch and led each of them to become a billion dollar or multi-billion-dollar enterprise. These include three publicly traded companies: XPO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: XPO), United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI) and United Waste Systems, Inc. XPO and United Rentals were among the 20 best-performing stocks of the last decade. Prior to starting XPO in 2011, Mr. Jacobs founded United Rentals in 1997 and led the company for 10 years as chairman, including six years as chief executive officer. He founded United Waste Systems in 1989 and served eight years as chairman and chief executive officer. Mr. Jacobs serves as non-executive chairman of the boards of GXO and RXO, both spin-offs of XPO.

Johnny C. Taylor, Jr.

Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. is president and chief executive officer of SHRM, the Society of Human Resources Management. Mr. Taylor’s career spans more than 20 years as a lawyer and an executive with not-for-profit and for-profit organizations, including IAC, Paramount Pictures, Blockbuster Entertainment Group and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, among others. He has served as chairman of the President's Advisory Board on Historically Black Colleges and Universities and on the White House American Workforce Policy Advisory Board. He is a trustee of the University of Miami, a member of the National Board of Governors of the American Red Cross, and a member of the corporate boards of Guild Education and iCIMS, Inc. Mr. Taylor is a weekly contributor to USA Today, a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources and a SHRM Certified Professional. He holds a juris doctorate degree and a master’s degree from Drake University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.

Allison Landry

Allison Landry is a former senior transportation research analyst with Credit Suisse, covering the trucking, railroad, airfreight and logistics industries. Previously, Ms. Landry served as a financial analyst and senior accountant with OneBeacon Insurance Company (now Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions). She holds an MBA degree from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from College of the Holy Cross.

Jason Aiken

Jason Aiken serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer of General Dynamics Corporation. Previously, he was the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, and held earlier positions with General Dynamics, including controller, vice president of accounting and director of consolidation accounting. Prior to joining General Dynamics, Mr. Aiken was an audit manager with Arthur Andersen LLP in Washington, D.C., where he provided audit and consulting services for defense contractors. He holds an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Washington and Lee University.

Michael Jesselson

Michael Jesselson is the president of Jesselson Capital Corporation. Additionally, he serves as a director of C-III Capital Partners LLC, Ascendant Digital Acquisition Corp. and other private companies, as well as several philanthropic organizations. Mr. Jesselson was a longstanding director of American Eagle Outfitters, Inc., where he served as lead independent director.

Bella Allaire

Bella Allaire is executive vice president of technology and operations with Raymond James Financial, and the former chief information officer of UBS Wealth Management Americas.

Irene Moshouris is senior vice president and treasurer of United Rentals, and formerly served in finance management roles with Avon Products and GTE Corporation.
